La Monde Byrd

La Monde Byrd has recurred on the Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning series Mad Men (AMC) for consecutive seasons. Currently, he can be seen on OWN's Greenleaf as well as NBC's Aquairus.  Past recurring and guest star roles include Boston Public (Fox), Supernatural (CW), Monk (USA), CSI (CBS), Cold Case (CBS) and Nashville (ABC). La Monde can be seen in New Regency Pictures’ In Time and multiple indie films. La Monde is developing film, television and new media projects as a writer, director and producer for his Society FilmWorks shingle while following his first passion... ACTING.

 

La Monde began acting while studying Spanish and Water Resource Management at Central State University. His role as Cory Maxson in the Dayton Playhouse (Ohio) production of August Wilson’s Fences solidified his love for acting. He moved to Los Angeles after earning his bachelor's degree.

 

La Monde’s interest in the entertainment industry grew. In 2006, La Monde produced his first short film Privacy Policy which premiered at the 15th Annual Pan African Film Festival. In 2007, La Monde’s first feature length script, Hell’s Fringe placed in the top 15% of the Academy of Arts and Sciences' Nicholl Fellowships Competition. La Monde went on to earn a master's from the American Film Institute (AFI). La Monde has produced and directed several film projects, which have premiered at the International Venice Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, St. Louis International Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival, the Montreal World Film Festival and many other festivals throughout the world.
